LGBTQ+ individuals face numerous challenges all over the world, however, it must be said that these challenges are more acute in Nigeria. While other countries on the continent, such as Cape Verde and South Africa have taken steps towards the inclusion of the LGBTQ+ community, Nigeria has done the opposite.
Natural resources bring economic stability in a country. Not only do they bring economic stability, but they also need to be managed well and efficiently. This however has not been the case for Nigeria. Much of the downfall of Nigeria is caused by corruption which leads to poverty in the country.
Nigeria’s #EndSARS protests continue throughout the country, although with falling momentum. Responses to the movement have received mixed reactions, suggesting there is potential for the protests to be reignited again.
